Persian + Mede Relief

If the iconography at Persepolis can be believed, the Persians remained very close to the people they had conquered Iran from - the Medes. Time and time again the two peoples are shown striding together; as in this case where the Mede wears his traditional rounded cap while the Persian, in front, wears an upright cap.
