Hamadan (ancient Ecbatana)

A sample of the domestic architecture unearthed at ancient Ecbatana. In this view we can see the restoration by Iranian archaeologists who coat the top of the ancient walls with a layer of mud and straw to protect them. In this area of the excavations well-built houses with water channels were found.
