Persepolis reliefs

The palace at Persepolis is litterally covered with reliefs depicting many different subjects. In this case the relief adorns the door-frame which gives access to the 100-column hall. It shows, at top, the seated figure of the king while below, and surrounding him, are legions of loyal followers.
